Revlon Colorstay French Roast

This manicure is Revlon Colorstay in French Roast. French Roast is a warm poopy brown with subtle rainbow microshimmer particles. I was attracted to it because I don't think I have anything like it in my rather large collection. Unfortunately, the formula stinks. I will have to try it again with thinner, as is it was thick and runny for me and applied patchy. You can tell from the finished manicure that it didn't apply very well.
This mani is one coat Spa Ritual Lacquer Lock bc, one coat CND Stickey bc, three coats of French Roast, one coat of Revlon Quick Dry tc, and one coat of Seche Vite.

Butter London Spring/Summer 2012 Disco Biscuit

Today's manicure is Butter London Disco Biscuit. Disco Biscuit is a hot barbie pink jelly with blurple shimmer particles.
I don't have a million pinks, but I couldn't find anything like this is my collection. I actually really like it.
I actually hadn't heard the term Disco Biscuit before, but urban dictionary says it referred to quaaludes in the actual time of disco, and ecstasy today. I guess it shows how much I party...
This mani is one coat Spa Ritual Lacquer Lock bc, one coat CND Stickey bc, two coats of Disco Biscuit, one coat of Revlon Quick Dry tc, and one coat of Seche Vite.

Butter London Spring/Summer 2012 Knackered

Today's manicure is Butter London Knackered. Knackered is a silvery blue/purple duochrome frost base with holographic glitters. With two coats there is still VNL, so it is somewhat sheer. I didn't have any exact dupes, but it is in the flavor of Lippmann Wicked Game (similar duo base without glitter) and Barielle Jess' Champagne Toast (no duo in the base, but otherwise similar). I did include a bottle comparison photo.

Revlon Colorstay Amethyst

So, I was hunting for the new Revlon Colorstay polishes at Walgreens to get my hands on Rain Forest. I finally found them on Monday, and I bought 7 other pretty polishes from the display. These are priced high for Revlon - I paid $8.50 a bottle.
This manicure is Revlon Colorstay in Amethyst. Amethyst is a vibrant Barney (or Grimace, depending on your age and experience) purple with pink and blue microshimmer. It is smooth and has great coverage.
This mani is one coat Spa Ritual Lacquer Lock bc, one coat CND Stickey bc, two coats of Amethyst, one coat of Revlon Quick Dry tc, and one coat of Seche Vite.

Glitter Gal 10 to Midnight

Today's manicure is Glitter Gal 10 to Midnight. 10 to Midnight is a silvery grey base with linear holographic particles. Indoors it looks like a gunmetal grey shimmer, but outdoors in the sunlight the holo shows up like so:

Ozotic Mish Mash 531

Happy 2012 Everyone!
I took a little time off blogging for the holidays, but I was still painting my nails.
On NYE I did this Ozotic 531 manicure, but I didn't get to photograph it until today. Sorry for the bit of tipwear.
I (usually) know better than to not layer Ozotic over black, since the formula is thin and runny and generally not very opaque, it's tough to make it look good. I feel like this particular polish is a little more opaque than some other ozotics I've used, so luckily I only needed three coats. I still managed to dent my pointer fingernail. 531 is a multichrome that shifts pinkish red, orange, yellow, and a bit green. It is also loaded with holographic particles. It is really cool. I bought it from Overall Beauty, but you can also get these from Picture Polish and llarowe.

Lynnderella One Nutty Fruitcake

Today's manicure is Lynnderella One Nutty Fruitcake over Illamasqua Boosh.
Boosh is a black creme. One Nutty Fruitcake is a clear base with fuchsia, green, red, purple, teal, yellow, orange, and black hex and square and some fine glitters
One Nutty Fruitcake is one of the two Holiday Houseguests in the Funny Money collection. It's a bit subtle and mysterious over black. It reminds me of the 80s somehow. Someone else recently told me it reminded them of New Years.
