China Glaze Capitol Colors Hunger Games Riveting and Electrify

In honor of the upcoming film and the story's heroine, the girl on fire, Katniss Everdeen, I am wearing two colors from the new Hunger Games collection from China Glaze. Riveting is a fiery red-orange macroshimmer with gold flash, similar to an old China Glaze release, Orange-Pacific. Electrify is a mixture of gold glitter and chunkier red glitter in a clear base.

This manicure is one coat of SpaRitual Lacquer Lock bc, one coat of CND Stickey bc, one coat of Riveting (two on the middle finger), one coat of Electrify (on all fingers except the middle), and one coat of Seche Vite.

Nars Super Orgasm from Yorokobi Set

Today's manicure is Nars Super Orgasm from the Yorokobi set. I bought the set at Sephora for $39. It contains mini blush, lipgloss, and nail polish in quantities as follows:
- 0.12 oz Blush in Super Orgasm (peachy pink with gold glitter)
- 0.14 oz Lip Gloss in Super Orgasm (peachy pink with gold glitter)
- 0.25 oz Nail Polish in Super Orgasm (peachy pink with gold glitter)

Super Orgasm is a sheer salmon pink base with pink shimmer and loads of chunky gold glitter. It swathed sheer in three coats on my wheel, so I decided to layer it over Rescue Beauty Lounge Smitten since it's a mini bottle and I didn't want to waste layers and not achieve opacity.
I like this polish, but the quality is not up to NARS standards and it could be duped easily enough with a pink shimmer and gold glitter layering combo.
Sorry about the tipwear. I did this manicure on Sunday night and it was raining on Monday, so I had to wait until Tuesday for the sun.

Picture Polish Jealousy

As I mentioned in my post on Denim, Picture Polish is an Australian company that sells Ozotics and their own house brand. I ordered two Picture Polishes with my last Ozotic order.
This manicure is Picture Polish Jealousy. Jealousy is a green and gold glittery foil.
This mani is one coat Spa Ritual Lacquer Lock bc, one coat CND Stickey bc, two coats of polish, and one coat of Revlon Quick Dry tc.

Hard Candy Dork

Today's manicure is Hard Candy Dork. This mani was a reader request, which are always welcome.
Dork is an iridescent peach with golden pink undertones. Dork was part of OG Hard Candy's Radioactive Line, consisting of 8 iridescent polishes.
The nail on my ring finger is two coats of polish over 1 coat of black creme.
Unfortunately, the sun has been scarce this week and I took these pictures indoors - the polish practically looks like a creme. It's much more glowy in person. The last picture taken with flash is the most accurate representation. It's also a bit sheer, showing some vnl with three coats.

Finger Paints Snowman's Scarf

Today's manicure is Finger Paints Snowman's Scarf.
Snowman's Scarf is a warm-toned metallic red with strong gold shimmer. Red is generally tough to photograph well - the polish looks a bit coral in the first few pictures. I think the bottom picture is the most accurate for shade, but the shade is actually a brighter and deeper red in person.

Hard Candy Walmart Hypnotic

Today's manicure is Hard Candy Walmart Hypnotic.
Hypnotic is a sheer delicate dusty rose pink with gold sparkle. This mani is three coats and there's still some visible nail line. I actually like this as is - it's way more subtle than I usually go for, but on my skin tone it's like a basic nude with a bit of a twist. It may benefit from being pumped up over a tonal pink or white - but I don't imagine layering it over black will do much for the delicate tone.

Hard Candy Static and Glitch

Sorry I left you guys hanging. Things got crazy.
I decided to reward your patience with a double header.
Yesterday and Today's manicures are Hard Candy Static and Glitch. Hard Candy released these colors as part of a line of new bottles with Swarovski crystals embedded in the jelly rings in 2002. I was a bit disappointed in these colors and my manicure/photo skills this week.
Static is a sheer pale blue that flashes lavender. Glitch is an odd almost neon-pastel yellowish green sheer with gold shimmer. It's a bit like Opi Fireflies without the duochrome.
I did 3 coats of Static and 4 coats of Glitch (which may explain my wrinkly middle finger) and both still show visible nail line. I think both of these would be better suited to layering over black, white, or a tonal creme.
I am pretty excited about Hard Candy being repromoted as a Walmart exclusive brand (since I love Hard Candy, although I don't love Walmart). I should be getting all 16 colors in the next day or two. Let me know in the comments if you want to see them on my blog. They aren't really rare or unusual - but if it's what the subscribers want...

Hard Candy Sellout or Sell Out

Today's manicure is Hard Candy Sellout/Sell Out. I have been looking for this one for awhile and recently found it in the UK on eBay. If you'll notice, the British version is named Sellout. I have seen the American bottle and the name was Sell Out. I don't know why there's a difference, but I found it noteworthy - especially if you are trying to find this on the internet.
Sellout is a green teal shimmer loaded with gold glitter. The base is somewhat similar to OPI Sonic Bloom, but I found it to be unique to my collection.
I am in love with the bottle.
This mani is one coat Nubar Nu Nails, three coats polish, and one coat Nubar Diamont.
