Lynnderella Mlle. Violette de Bleu

Indoors in artificial light:

Outdoors in full sun:

Today's manicure is Lynnderella Mlle. Violette de Bleu over Orly Stone Cold. I didn't bother attempting to include this in my complementary base project because it has one of the more heavily tinted bases of the new collection. I just decided to use a close matching base. Mlle. Violette de Bleu aka Throwing Violets into the Ocean is a purple base with bright and navy blue and bright and dark purple hex and square glitters and a little kick of green glitter.
Stone Cold is an intense royal blue macroshimmer.
This manicure is one coat of SpaRitual Lacquer Lock bc, one coat of CND Stickey bc, two coats of Stone Cold, two coats of Mlle. Violette de Bleu, and two coats of Seche Vite.

Lynnderella Forget You Not

These pictures were taken outdoors in full sun:

You should be able to purchase Lynnderella's new collection, Lovely is as Lovely Does, here in the near future:
llarowe.com
Today's manicure is Lynnderella Forget You Not over Essie Orange, It's Obvious! from the new spring collection.
Forget You Not is a clear base with periwinkle/cornflower blue small round glitters and hex, iridescent glitters, and blue-pink shimmer. It is mush more densely packed than Nosegay.

This manicure is one coat CND Stickey bc, two coats of Orange, It's Obvious!, ONE coat of Forget You Not, and one coat of Seche Vite.

Etude House WH004

Today's manicure is Etude House WH004. Etude House is a (very cute) Korean brand of cosmetics. For a time their polishes were available from etudehouseusa.com, ostensibly the brand's US distribution arm, but the site was actually unaffiliated with the brand and was shut down due to copyright infringement. This information is gathered from the internet, so take it with a grain of salt. For the time it was active, polishes were often massively backordered. These polishes can be ordered from eBay, and likely other webstores.
This polish is a vampy black with blurpley teal duochrome macroshimmer particles. It's tough to catch the shimmer without a strong light source, but it is lovely when viewed in sunshine.
This mani is one coat Spa Ritual bc, one coat CND Stickey, two coats of varnish, and one coat of Out the Door tc.
These pictures were all taken indoors using artificial lighting.

New Finger Paints in the Permanent Collection

The last time I went into Sally Beauty Supply looking for the two new limited edition glitter polishes that I popped up on makeupalley, I was surprised to find a pretty different permanent collection Finger Paints display than I remembered. Sally puts out some great limited edition Finger Paints colors in their seasonal displays, but I was never very interested in their permanent collection of pretty standard pinks, purples, mauves, etc. They did have a few good colors, but this new display was a revelation. First of all, it had 4 greens! I can tell you from experience that green is a pretty rare commodity in a permanent collection. Times are changing, but the unfavorable Green to Pink ratio is disappointing to a green aficionado. Also, they had added glitters and interesting shimmers. Needless to say, I walked away with 5 new polishes, even though they didn't have the le glitters I had come in looking for.

L to R: Art of Theft, Easel-y Entertained, Sketch N Etch, Scenery Greenery, Tough Art to Follow
As you may observe, I took this picture wearing my keen sun hat.

Art of Theft looks like a blackish navy jelly indoors, but has a lovely purple-y shimmer when lighted properly.
Easel-y entertained is a purple-heavy blurple glitter with sparse silver glitter mixed in. I believe it's in a clear base, but it's hard to tell as it provides pretty dense coverage.
Sketch n Etch is my favorite of the bunch and recalls Essie Dominica Green with it's beautifully vivid tone and glittery shimmer.
Scenery Greenery is a blackboard green creme.
Tough Art to Follow is an almost black green creme that reminds me of OPI's Here Today, Aragon Tommorrow.
This mani is one coat Nubar Nu Nail, three coats of polish, and one coat of Nubar Diamont. Three coats of polish was highly unnecessary. It doesn't look much different from 2, and these polishes are pretty pigmented so you could probably even get away with one. I can honestly say that I really like them all.
Get thee to Sally.

Hard Candy Manic

Today's manicure is Hard Candy Manic. Manic is from the OG Hard Candy line that has been discontinued for a few years.
Manic is a glowy/iridescent blurple shimmer. It has a lit from within quality. I think it's beautiful. I'm sure it would look great in sunlight if we get any.
This mani is one coat SpaRitual resurface base coat, two coats of polish, and one coat of SpaRitual tout de suite top coat.
