Today's manicure is Chinoiserie Black Magic. I mentioned before in my post for what I think is the ultimate Chinoiserie color, Stellar Night, that this polish line is produced by Chinois Beaute Bar - a salon in Studio City (north of Los Angeles in California - where angels fear to tread). Black Magic is a true black creme base with subtle red glitter. It is quite similar to Rescue Beauty Lounge Revamp aka Black Russian, but the base is a darker black and the glitter particles are larger. Both are fairly subtle glitters, so if you're into loud nails it may behoove you to seek out Lippmann's anniversary set for Ruby Red Slippers. Ruby Red Slippers is in the same vein as the RBL or Chinoiserie, but with large hexagonal red glitters and a sheered out black base so the glitter stands out.
NOTE: Keep in mind if you are interested in Chinoiserie Black Magic, that there are 2 versions. This is one, the other is loaded with green and red glitter - to me it reads very Christmas.
This mani is one coat Nubar Nu Nails, two coats polish, and one coat Nubar Diamont.
